Volkswagen set to unveil new Tiguan at Geneva
Volkswagen has revealed the first images of the revised Tiguan compact SUV.
The newest model in the Tiguan range will be officially unveiled at the Geneva Motor Show next month and it will play host to a new front-end – bringing it in line with ‘the latest Volkswagen design DNA’.
To that end the front of the Volkswagen Tiguan deals in horizontal lines as seen on the new Passat and the new Touareg SUV giving a sleeker look than the current model. It does however retain the high roofline of the current model.
The Tiguan is one of Volkswagen’s most popular models of the last few years commanding 12 per cent of the European SUV market in 2010 and in its three years on the market it has sold around 572,000 units.
That success looks set to continue with the latest iteration of the mini-SUV already achieving advanced sales in Germany, where the current production run for the Tiguan has already sold out.
The Tiguan has also been relatively successful in the UK as well and the latest model will arrive on British soil in August.
Further details for the compact SUV will be released closer to its Geneva Motor Show unveiling.
