Several debuts for Peugeot at Geneva
Peugeot will debut the new Peugeot 308 at the Geneva Motor Show in march, showing off the new model in Hatchback, SW and Coupé Cabriolet formats.
Peugeot says the new models reflect styling on existing Peugeot models, while adopting a more "sophisticated elegance".
The new Peugeot 308 will set a new benchmark in terms of environmental efficiency, promises Peugeot, with the new model lighter by 25 kg; incorporating tyres with ultra-low rolling resistance, redesigned aerodynamics setting a record in the segment; and optimised engines.
The new engines include four petrol models from 98bhp to 200bhp and four HDi diesel engines from 92bhp to 163bhp.
Its 1.6-litre HDi FAP 112bhp Euro 5 engine, equipped with e-HDi Stop&Start technology that turns off the engine when the car is stationary, paves the way for CO2 emissions of 98 g/km – another new record in the segment.
Meanwhile, Peugeot will also show the new 508 large family car, launched in the UK at the end of April, in Saloon or SW body styles.
An Asphalt limited edition of the RCZ coupe will also go on show in Geneva, before going on sale in Spring 2011.
