Revealed: new Toyota Yaris prices
Japanese car-maker, Toyota, has revealed the new prices for the third generation Yaris supermini which starts from £11,170.
Toyota is the best selling manufacturer worldwide and the new Yaris has benefitted from all its experience making it the most technologically advanced in its history.
In the same way that Ford flooded its Fiesta supermini with high-end equipment and features, Toyota has done the same with its ‘Touch and Go’ multimedia systems grabbing the headlines.
First is the ‘Touch’ audio system which, as the name suggests, is a touch screen system with Bluetooth connectivity which also doubles up as a rear parking camera. It’s available on all trim levels except the range-opening T2 trim.
This can be upgraded to the proper ‘Touch and Go’ system which adds a useful satellite navigation system as well as a range of extra information services which can be downloaded from Toyota’s customer portal.
Under the bonnet three engines are available comprising of the top of the range 1.33-litre Dual VVT-i petrol engine – which is again available with all trim levels except T2 – another 1.0-litre petrol unit and a 1.4-litre D-4D turbodiesel.
The turbodiesel unit is the most efficient in the Yaris’s range and CO2 emissions sit just above the fabled 100g/km threshold while on a combined cycle it returns more than 72mpg, however it is only available on the mid-level TR trim.
Two further trim levels complete the range in the form of the SR and the top of the range T Spirit, which is the most expensive, with prices starting from £14,385 but it isn’t available as a three-door.
Customers can expect their Toyota Yaris to be delivered in September however customers can place orders now.
