Renault slashes Wind prices
Renault has unveiled a new Gordini trim level for the Wind Roadster which will sit at the top of the range for the drop-top model.
The new Renault Wind Gordini will cost £15,195 and is available to order now; it comes with either a 1.2-litre 100PS or 1.6-litre 133 PS engine.
Normally the Gordini moniker means a range of performance additions to the coupe-roadster however the Wind Gordini uses the same engines as the standard Wind.
It does however add a new external finish (complete with white Gordini stripes) as well as Pearl Black and Glacier White – which comes with chrome touches on the outside and typical Gordini badging.
Inside Gordini badging again dominates with a numbered plaque as well as blue and grey leather upholstery.
In terms of equipment the Gordini Wind is the most comprehensively decked out version in the range with climate control, a TunePoint multimedia system and Bluetooth connectivity.
If that’s not enough whistles and bells for you then Renault is also offering two optional extras with a Renaultsport exhaust and 17-inch Gordini alloys available for an extra £450 and £200 respectively.
The French manufacturer has also slashed the price of its Wind Dynamique and GT models too as it looks to stimulate sales in the summer months – a vital period for any drop-top model.
That means the Wind is now available for a cut-price £12,995.
