Renault releases initial details of new Laguna
Renault has released first details of the next generation Laguna ahead of its world premiere at the Paris Motor Show this month.
Available in hatchback and Sport Tourer guise, the new Renault Laguna is ‘more assertive’ and ‘more attractive’ than ever, according to the French firm, and boasts ‘the highest level of quality, reliability and safety.’
The Laguna will benefit from 4Control four-wheel steering system when coupled with the potent dCi 180 engine. The less powerful Euro 5-compliant dCi 110 powerplant makes emissions its priority, emitting 120g/km - 10 grams less than the outgoing model.
The cabin will feature technologies such as a TomTom Live satellite navigation system and a Bose sound system. Further details are yet to be revealed.
With no less than 12 five-star Euro NCAP ratings to its name, Renault cars are among the safest on the road today. The Laguna is also synonymous with safety, and was the first ever vehicle to achieve a five-star safety rating from Euro NCAP nine years ago.
Pricing and specification will be announced after the Paris Motor Show in mid-October and will go on sale in the UK in November.
