Range Rover Evoque impresses Stuff Magazine
Stuff Magazine has named the Range Rover Evoque as its first ever 2011 Car of the Year.
The Evoque earned the inaugural award because, according to the judges, of its well renowned style and technology.
The magazine, which is responsible for the annual 'Cool List' and is the UK's biggest technology magazine, were impressed with the British-built SUV at the annual awards.
The Range Rover Evoque mixes has the ability of an off-roader with the desirability of a top market premium car. These qualities where highlighted when Stuff Magazine's editor Will Findlater said:
"For combining the off-road capabilities of a Range Rover and leading technology with the desirability of a Blade Runner space car, the Range Rover Evoque just had to win it for us."
With these qualities the Evoque beat other competing models such as the Mini Coupe and even a Ferrari in the shape of the new FF.
The Evoque hasn't just impressed Stuff Magazine. Since its release in September 2011 it has had constant praise and won a selection of awards including Car of the Year from Auto Express.
Some of its specific features include all terrain mode, luxurious upholstery and especially its dual screen technology. This technology allows the driver and passenger to see two different images at the same time.
Land Rover Design Studio Director, David Saddington collected the award. He said: "The Stuff Gadget Award means a lot to us at Land Rover and it is fantastic to win Stuff Magazine's inaugural Car of the Year Award.
"I am really happy to pick it up on behalf of the entire Land Rover team who put so much hard work into the design and engineering - it is great to be recognised for leading edge and innovative technology wrapped in such a fantastic design."
Prices for the Range Rover Evoque start from £27,995.
