Range Rover Evoque impresses in Euro NCAP tests
The Range Rover Evoque earned a maximum five stars in the latest round of Euro NCAP safety testing.
The Range Rover Evoque particularly impressed with its adult occupant and safety assist protection. The tests determine the danger posed to the driver and adult passengers - and the amount of safety kit in a car respectively. In both these protective safety areas the Evoque score 86 per cent.
The Euro NCAP crash test report praised the Evoque's performance in the side barrier test, saying the Evoque "scored maximum points, with good protection of all body areas".
The Evoque's impressive 86 per cent rating for its safety assist acknowledges the inclusion of Electronic Stability Control (ESC), which is standard on all Evoque models, and held to be a crucial life-saving safety aid.
ESC is a system that helps motorists keep control of their car by redirecting power to specific wheels that need it most. This results in better grip on the road, especially with tight turns and tricky corners.
The Range Rover Evoque is out now and prices start from £27,955.
