Peugeot tops French trio
Peugeot had a pleasing month with 3,052 units in February, bringing the market share to 4.81% for the month according to data released by the Society of Motoring Manufacturers and Traders (SMMT).
2011’s total amount to the end of February is 9,894 units bringing this year’s market share to 5.15%.
This means Peugeot is the most successful French manufacturer in the UK so far in 2010 after outselling Citroen and Renault.
Peugeot has introduced a host of new models in 2010, including the Peugeot RCZ coupe and the Peugeot 5008 MPV.
These have been joined by the Peugeot iOn electric car, which arrived in the UK early this year.
Forthcoming models include the new 508 large family car and the new updated 308 small family car range.
The world’s first diesel hybrid car will be introduced by the marque later in the year in the shape of the Peugeot 3008 HYbrid4.
