Peugeot offers trip into space as prize
Peugeot has set up a unique competition where the prize is a chance to travel in space.
The 3008 Space Odyssey will grant one winner the privilege of jetting to the edge of the earth’s atmosphere.
To earn this prize, Peugeot has created a summer-long event which aims to increase the profile of its 3008 Crossover.
Participants enter the free prize draw by going to a website (www.spot3008.com) and attempting to spot one of 20 Peugeot 3008 models perched atop some of London’s best-known buildings, using a 360 degree view of the capital city.
As the panorama image carries a vast amount of detail, clues to the locations will be ‘leaked’ online through various social media channels.
Alternatively those unable to go online can enter the contest simply by booking a test drive of the 3008 Crossover at their local Peugeot dealership.
Finding one Peugeot 3008 online will provide a single entry into the draw, while finding five 3008s will entitle 20 entries and finding all 20 cars provides 100 entries to a participant.
People can also gain 100 entries into the prize draw simply by booking a test drive for the 3008. The maximum entries any one person can acquire are 200.
The Peugeot 3008 first launched back in 2009, the five-door crossover model has gained some achievements, and it was named Best Crossover in What Car? Car of the Year awards for both 2010 and 2011.
A hybrid electric version of the crossover vehicle is currently being developed by Peugeot. The 3008 HYbrid 4 will use the manufacturer’s advanced diesel electric hybrid technology; its aim is to set a new benchmark for low CO2 emissions for family cars. The hybrid will launch in the UK this autumn.
