New Vauxhall Corsa on sale with '11' plates
The new Vauxhall Corsa will be available to buy next week in time for the new ‘11’ registration plates.
Vauxhall’s popular supermini, available in three- or five-door variations, has been updated for 2011 with a new look including a new chrome bar under the bumper showing the new ‘Griffin’ badge and running lights as standard.
Vauxhall has also included some new, vibrant colour schemes such as Chilli Orange and Lime Green to appeal to younger buyers.
Inside, Vauxhall has continued to upgrade its cars with some new upholstery and higher quality materials – allowing the Corsa to compete with the likes of the Fiesta at the top end of the supermini market.
New interior colour schemes match those on the outside, with Steel Blue and Tabasco Orange two of the options for seat trims and a range of different colours available for the door trims, centre consoles and air vent rings.
As well as the cosmetic changes, Vauxhall has created a new chassis to improve handling and the driving dynamics of the model. Meanwhile, a reworked suspension system has been added to improve comfort and control of the car.
This is complemented by new engines – in particular the new ecoFLEX diesel engine returning CO2 emissions below 100g/km.
This means 1.3 CDTi (95PS) ecoFLEX versions of the new Vauxhall Corsa will not have to pay road tax on UK roads and will be exempt from the London congestion charge.
New 2011 Vauxhall Corsa prices start from £9,995 for entry-level models and the car will be available to buy with the new ‘11’ registration plates from March.
