New Mazda6 on sale
The Mazda6 has been given a facelift followig 3 years on the market, giving it a more sporty look.
An upgraded version of the second generation Mazda6 is now on sale in the UK after a successful debut earlier this year.
After three years on the market, the Mazda6 was given a facelift in keeping with the Mazda5 and MX-5 ranges.
The most striking feature of the saloon is the new Mazda face, including new headlamps and rear lights. A smaller grille than the Mazda3 and 5 gives the Mazda6 a more unique and sporty look.
Mazda has provided six engines for the Mazda6, with the highlight being a 2.0-litre DISI petrol with a five-speed autobox that cuts CO2 emissions and improves fuel efficiency on the outgoing 2.0-litre unit.
The other two petrol engines are updated versions of the 1.8 and 2.5-litre engines available on the Mazda MZR. Diesel options consist of a 2.2-litre turbo available in 129 to 180bhp power derivatives.
Despite the changes, Mazda has kept close to the design of the previous model, tweaking the range with new features such as pivoting adaptive front lighting system and hill-launch assist.
