New Kia models gain top safety ratings
Kia has announced that the new Sportage and Venga have both been awarded the maximum five-star safety rating by Euro NCAP.
Kia’s Sportage crossover gained 93 per cent in the Adult Occupant Protection category, 86 per cent for Child Occupant Protection, 49 per cent for Pedestrian Protection and 86 per cent for Safety Assist. The Venga B-segment MPV obtained 89, 85, 64 and 71 per cent respectively.
Both cars come with an array of safety equipment as standard, including six airbags, active head restraints, ABS, stability control, all-round three-point seatbelts with front belt pre-tensioners, and ISOFIX child seat fixings.
Other Kia models to receive the coveted five-star accolade include the Soul, cee’d and Sorento.

The Kia Sportage and Venga are available now from £16,645 and £10,995 respectively, and like all new Kia cars, come with a free seven-year warranty.
