New fashion-inspired Chevrolet Orlando revealed
A unique Chevrolet Orlando has been created by fashion design label Quinze & Milan for a design showcase in London.
The seven-seat MPV has been chosen by the design label to highlight its surface-coating foam at the Superbrands Festival later this month.
As a result, the one-off Chevrolet Orlando boasts a bright yellow bonnet and different coloured doors with a gradient effect on the door pillars.
The result is an eye-catching car which looks like it has had some drastic replacement parts. Inside, the extreme colour choices continue with bright aqua seats and a large number of coloured cubes filling the interior.
The car will not be sold in the UK but a full range of Chevrolet Orlando options is currently available to UK customers.
The seven-seat family car, the first of its kind for Chevrolet in the UK, is a large people carrier with a design resembling an SUV more closely than the traditional box shape of MPVs.
An elongated front end, falling roofline and chunky, bold wheel arches give the impression of an SUV but inside the seven seats provide ample room for passengers.
Available in three specification levels, LS, LT and LTZ, the Chevrolet Orlando starts from £16,410, However, all models get air conditioning, radio/CD with MP3 connection and electric front windows as standard.
The Chevrolet Orlando comes with a choice of 1.8-litre petrol or 2.0-litre diesel (in two different power outputs) under the bonnet.
For the more powerful of the two diesels, a six speed automatic transmission with manual mode can be specified instead of the standard five-speed manual transmission.
As a family car, safety is a priority for Chevrolet in the Orlando. Fitted with six airbags, the Orlando also comes with traction control and ISOFIX points for child seats.
