Mazda5 MPV hits UK showrooms
The Mazda5 MPV has arrived on British soil and is available now from under £18,000, the Japanese company has confirmed.
Mazda’s 5 is a departure from the rest of the firm’s current line-up as it is the only model to use the flamboyant Nagare design language; evidence of which can be found with the flowing wave design on the doors.
The seven-seat MPV is available in TS, TS2 and Sport trim levels, though all benefit from the 426 litres of bootspace – which is extended to 780 with the third row of seats folded, and 1,485 litres with the second folded.
Customers can choose from two petrol units – 1.8- and 2.0-litre - and a 1.6-litre diesel. While the latter offers the lowest CO2 emissions in the line-up with 138g/km, the larger diesel outputs a much-improved 159g/km.
The Mazda5 is priced from £17,695 for the 1.8-litre petrol TS model, with diesel versions starting at 20,195.
