Kia starts advertising for new Picanto
Kia has launched a new advertising campaign to promote its new Picanto city car, which has just gone on sale in the UK.
The launch weekend took place from 17 till 19 June and consisted of a 30 second TV advert called ‘small but mighty’.
The advert was also shown across a wide range of over 20 channels on the 19 June at 9.30pm.
Over 3,500 cinemas across the UK will also show the advert, close to 90% nationwide. Coverage started on 19 June and will continue to be shown at cinemas until the 8 September.
Kia has also started an online display campaign, from when the car was launched till the end of August. The adverts will appear on numerous major motoring magazine websites, plus some of the biggest sites for social media on the web including MSN and YouTube.
The compact five-door, five-seater hatchback Picanto is available in six specifications in total.
Available with four engine options, each unit is petrol powered and meets Euro 5 emission standards. Engines include a 1.0 litre manual and 1.25 available with manual, automatic or manual EcoDynamics transmission.
With the 1.25 manual, the Picanto will accelerate from 0-60mph in 11 secnds reach a top speed of 106mph.
Pricing On the Road for the new Picanto starts from £7,995 for the 1.0 ‘1’ specification. The range-topping model, the 1.25 ‘3’ version has an On the Road price of £11,195.
