Jaguar XJ crowned Top Gear’s Luxury Car of the Year
The Jaguar XJ has been named Luxury Car of the Year by Top Gear Magazine; ‘one of the toughest judging panels anywhere in the motoring world’, according to the British car manufacturer.
Since its launch in May 2010, the XJ executive saloon has racked up numerous accolades lauding everything from its eco credentials – What Car? Luxury Green Car of the Year - to its comfort and luxury, which was highlighted by its recent triumph at Professional Driver magazine’s Car of the Year awards.
Describing the XJ as a ‘blast from the future’, Jason Barlow, Editor of Top Gear Magazine, commented: “Rarely has a new car slackened so many jaws."
The XJ is available in short- and long-wheelbase format, with an engine range comprising 3.0-litre petrol and diesel units as well as the flagship 5.0-litre V8 petrol powerplant.
“The Jaguar XJ brought a bold new approach to the luxury car market in the UK with its distinctive design, generous accommodation, exceptional performance and strong economy credentials," said Geoff Cousins, Managing Director, Jaguar UK.
On-the-road pricing for the Jaguar XJ starts £53,900.
