Jaguar unveils XJ75 Platinum Concept
Jaguar unveiled the XJ75 Platinum Concept at the Pebble Beach Concours D’Elegance over the weekend in celebration of its 75th anniversary.
This follows the XKR 75 limited production car that was unveiled in July, but puts more emphasis on Jaguars dramatic interior and exterior styling themes.
While the XJ75’s body is finished in Satin Matte Pearlescent White, exterior chrome elements – including the 22-inch bespoke wheels - have been revised to dark chrome or gloss black.
This contrasting theme continues inside the cabin where white air vents, veneers and diamond stitch suede are set against a black leather backdrop.
While Jaguar insists the XJ75 is purely a ‘design exercise’, it doesn’t lack in performance. The one-of-a-kind Concept is fitted with a 5.0-litre supercharged direct-injection V8 powerplant that outputs 470bhp and 424 lb-ft of torque.
The XJ75 also houses a 1,200-watt Bowers & Wilkins surround sound system that comprises 20 speakers and state-of-the-art sound processing technology.
Although the Jaguar XJ75 will never go into production, the previously mentioned XKR 75 is available in very limited quantities from £85,000.
