Ford offers advanced test drives of 2011 Focus
Ford has announced the Focus Global Test Drive, in which interested customers can test drive the range before it goes on sale.
The new third-generation Ford Focus is part of CEO Alan Mulally’s One Ford plan and will be released in the UK in 2011. The company will sell up to ten different Focus models on the new platform, with over 100 countries receiving models that share 80 per cent of components.
‘Everyone wins’ with the Focus Global Test Drive says Ford, as not only do engineers get invaluable real-world feedback from drivers, but ‘deserving charities’ will also benefit as part of the scheme.
The blue oval says it is will donate the market equivalent of $10,000 – over £6,000 – to each participant’s chosen charity. Up to $500,000 - around £315,000 - will be provided in total.
Ford Focus Global Test Drive applications are available now through the dedicated facebook page, and just 100 candidates will be chosen.
Prices for the new Ford Focus haven’t been revealed, but the outgoing model range is priced from £15,195.
