Ford Mondeo Sport arrives for 60-plate
The new Ford Mondeo Sport will go on sale next month, kitted with a 60-plate and over £2,000 worth of extra options.
Ford will produce just 3,000 Mondeo Sport models, all of which will be fitted with automatic headlamps, rain-sensing wipers, self-dimming rear view mirror and a satellite navigation system covering Europe.
17-inch alloy wheels, front and rear parking sensors and solar reflect windscreen are also included in the package, which the American company values at over £2,000.
The limited Sport model comes in five-door and estate bodystyles and is available in four colours – Frozen White, Panther Black, Sea Grey and Moondust Silver. It can be specified with a 1.8-litre 123bhp diesel or a 2.0-litre 143bhp petrol unit.
“It will be on sale for a limited period during the lifetime of the new '60' plate, so interested customers should get in quick," commented Jon Gunn-Smith, Ford large car product manager.
The Ford Mondeo Sport will be available from 1 September, priced at £18,795 for the petrol version and £19,495 for the diesel – just £300 more than the Zetec Mondeo models.
