Ford Galaxy faces toughest road test yet
Ford has joined forces with the UK’s largest parenting website to test drive the new S-Max and Galaxy models.
Ford invited eight families from Mumsnet to an open day where S-Max and Galaxy petrol and diesel models were given a thorough road test by parents and their children.
Child seats, storage space and equipment such as air conditioning and sound systems were tested by the families and Ford has reported a positive response.
One reviewer posted on Mumsnet: "I've driven a fair few people carriers in my time and have tried several of the newer ones on the market and frankly none of them compare to this. The Galaxy is the people carrier to beat now."
The engines were labelled as ‘responsive’ and the cabin space and comfort was praised by the reviewers, who said: “As for the cabin, the kids were in heaven!"
Ford will also allow two families to drive the S-Max and Galaxy, which were both released earlier this year, for a three week period.
Co-founder of Mumsnet, Carrie Longton said: "Ford are to be congratulated for realising that, more often than not, it's mums who are driving the decision-making process on what family car to buy."
