Ford C-Max double award joy
Ford took double honours at this year’s Fleet News Awards, as the C-MAX and Grand C-MAX scooped ‘New Company Car of the Year 2011’ as well as ‘Best People Carrier’.
The Fleet News Awards are decided by a panel of industry judges, who use a range of criteria, including operation costs (depreciation, fuel, servicing, maintenance and repair etc.) as well as suitability for their use as a business car.
Fleet News’ panel of judges said the C-Max and Grand C-Max ‘stand out thanks to clever and flexible seating and sliding rear passenger doors in a highly competitive sector with a range of new entrants’.
The “New Company Car of the Year 2011" award was decided by fleet operator readers of Fleet news.
These latest accolades follow a recent one from Parkers magazine, which declared the Ford C-Max 1.6 TDCi Titanium as the winner of its MPV category, when determining the “cars that make your cash go further.
First introduced in 2003, Ford started production of the newest generation model of the C-MAX in 2010. In addition to the standard five-seater MPV, a longer wheelbase seven-seat variant called the Grand C-MAX was added to the line up.
The two vehicles make up Ford’s wide range of medium sized vehicles, very recently updated with the all-new Ford Focus. On-the road prices for the Ford C-Max is currently £17,195 and £19,195 for the Grand C-Max.
