First Peugeot i0n EV arrives in the UK
Peugeot has delivered its first i0n electric car in the UK to EDF Energy, which will use it in its fleet of EVs to test recharging solutions.
EDF Energy’s Peugeot i0n is also the first car in the UK to qualify for the government’s OLEV scheme, including the £5,000 Plug-In Car Grant.
“We are delighted to add the first Peugeot i0n in the UK to our fleet. It fits perfectly with our ambitions to provide low carbon solutions," said Eric Salmon, Energy Field Services Director at EDF Energy.
The Peugeot i0n is one of the first four-seat urban all-electric cars to go on sale in the UK this month, and boasts a range of 93 miles on a full charge, which takes just six hours.
“Electric cars are an important part of future urban mobility, alongside hybrid vehicle and highly efficient diesel and petrol engines," commented Fleet Sales Director at Peugeot UK, Phil Robson.
“As well as the all electric Peugeot i0n, we will also this year launch the world’s first diesel and hybrid vehicle the 3008 HYbrid4, new e-HDi micro hybrid technology and later a range of high efficient three cylinder petrol engines."
