Fiat 500 on top for third consecutive year
The Fiat 500 continues its reign at the top of its segment in the business world by receiving the City Car of the Year title for the third consecutive year at the 2011 BusinessCar Awards.
The Fiat 500 adds this coveted accolade to the seemingly endless amount of awards it has racked up in its four years on the roads in the UK, including the Car of the Year 2008 title.
BusinessCar editor Paul Barker says the 500 won not only for its ‘great residual values and running costs’, but for its ‘ability to put smiles on faces’, adding:
“The Fiat 500 has once more proved that business cars can make sense to both the head and the heart."
Available from £9,665, the Fiat 500 can be specified with a range of fuel-efficient powertrains, including the revolutionary TwinAir petrol engine that emits just 92g/km of CO2.
“Three consecutive awards and three consecutive wins in the City Car category – that’s wonderful news and a great tribute to the Fiat 500," surmised Andrew Humberstone, managing director, Fiat Group Automobiles UK and Ireland.
