Citroen DS4 breaks cover
Citroen has released first details and images of the DS4 ahead of its unveiling at the Paris Motor Show next month.
The DS4 combines ‘coupe style with 2+2 door practicality’ according to the French marque, which also says the hatchback will be available with ‘first class customer service’ upon release in 2011.
The Citroen DS4 will be available with a choice of two diesel units – HDi 110, HDi 160 – and three petrol – VTi 120, THP 155, THP 200. It can also be specified with Citroen’s micro-hybrid e-HDi technology, which will be available on HDi 110 versions.
Like the Citroen DS3, customers have the opportunity to customise their DS4 and are given the choice of five leather combinations, chrome detailing and ambient lighting options. The driving position has been described as ‘enveloping’ and driver visibility is improved by the large panoramic windscreen.
The DS4 is high-set and tuned for dynamic performance and external features include muscular wheel arches – to house up to 19-inch wheels – tautly drawn roofline, rear spoiler, chrome rear bumper and ‘boomerang’ design rear headlights.
Pricing is yet to be revealed, but the Citroen DS4 will go on sale in autumn next year.
