Citroen DS3 named best in class at Fifth Gear Awards
The Citroen DS3 has just picked up the Small Car of the Year accolade at the Fifth Gear Awards; rounding off a hugely successful first year for the supermini.
Described by Fifth Gear as ‘a brilliant little package’, the accolade comes just weeks after Top Gear Magazine named the DS3 its overall Car of the Year, as well as recognising it in the small car segment.
“It’s sharp looking on the outside, beautifully styled on the inside and comes with a great range of fast, but frugal engines. What surprised us the most is just how good it is to drive... it simply doesn’t put a foot wrong," Fifth Gear said.
Next year will see the introduction of the limited edition Citroen DS3 Racing which, with its 207bhp 1.6-litre turbocharged engine, will boast a sub-seven-second 0-62mph sprint time.
Just 1,000 units will be made, all of which will be finished in the same distinctive grey and orange livery.
Standard Citroen DS3 models are available now from £11,700.
