Chevrolet reveals Cruze hatch price range
Chevrolet has announced prices for the new Cruze hatchback ready for its arrival in UK dealerships next month.
Starting from £13,995, the Cruze will come in at the bottom end of the hatchback market, but Chevrolet is aiming to improve equipment and quality in its latest family car.
Already available as a saloon, the hatchback version of the Cruze comes in three trim specifications with a choice of three engines, two of them petrol and one diesel.
Each engine has Electronic Stability Control as standard and Chevrolet has promised more engines for the car will be made available in the future.
The three trims are called LS, LT and LTZ. The entry-level LS model, which costs £13,995, has a 1.6 litre petrol engine developing 124hp. Standard equipment includes air conditioning, electric front windows, remote locking and a radio/CD player with auxiliary input.
The LT version, starting at £14,895, is also available with the same petrol engine as the LS model; this specification type however can also be fitted with either a 1.6 litre automatic or a 2.0 litre VCDi diesel manual which delivers 163hp.
The LT trim also packs extra features like cruise control, parking distance sensors, 16" alloy wheels, leather steering wheel with audio controls and a multi-function trip computer.
Those who choose the LTZ trim can equip a 1.8 litre petrol engine with manual or automatic transmission, or the 2.0 litre VCDi diesel unit. Added equipment includes Bluetooth, a USB port, rain-sensing wipers, automatic headlights and 17" alloys. Pricing for the LTZ version starts at £16,095.
The range-topping LTZ with Executive Pack, is available exclusively with the VCDi diesel engine. This specification comes with leather trim, satellite navigation and heated front seats as standard. Prices for this spec start at £19,295.
