Awards love for new Jaguar XJ
The all-new Jaguar XJ has been named runner-up in MSN Cars' Car of the Year awards for 2011.
The luxury saloon took almost one vote in ten of all cars on the road, beating off competition from supercars and other luxury saloons with over 3,000 votes.
Available in Standard or Long Wheelbase forms with 3.0-litre V6 diesel and 5.0-litre V8 petrol engines and priced from around £50K to around £90,000, the British-built executive four-door Jaguar XJ saloon went on sale in 2010 to a chorus of approving reviews from journalists and buyers alike.
Previous winners of the award, voted for by readers of the website, include the Bugatti Veyron and Ferrari 458 - showing the stiff copmpetition for the gong.
Also named in the top ten was the Ford Focus RS hot hatch, picking up nearly 3,000 votes, defeating cars costing four times as much.
