2012 Range Rover Sport details published
Land Rover has updated the Range Rover Sport for the 2012 model year.
The SUV is now more efficient then before; the model’s 3.0 litre SDV6 diesel engine reduces CO2 emissions from 243g/km to 230g/km. The combined fuel economy is also better, increasing from 30.7mpg to 32.1mpg.
Not only does the engine offer better efficiency but performance as well with power output increased from 245hp to 256hp.
The Range Rover Sport can still be equipped with a 5.0 litre LR V8 supercharged engine which still delivers superior power meaning a 0-60mph time of less than six seconds.
Each engine is now connected to an eight-speed automatic gearbox which comes with a ‘Driver Select’ rotary gear shift and steering wheel-mounted paddle shift.
Another new driving feature is a powered single piece tailgate, which enables drivers to adjust the lift height to their liking.
The Range Rover Sport’s interior has also been updated. Introduced is a 7" touch screen available with optional Dual View technology, allowing the driver to view the navigation display whilst the passenger watches TV or a DVD or listen to music on headphones.
The rear seat entertainment package is also updated with the inclusion of wireless technology.
Design and equipment are now more customisable then before. Buyers gain the option to change colours in both exterior detailing and the interior when choosing the Autobiography version.
The 2012 Range Rover Sport will appear in UK showrooms from this October. Customers can buy it for an on-the-road price of £48,795.
