2011 Vauxhall VXR8 super saloon breaks cover
Vauxhall has unveiled the all-new VXR8 super saloon, which undercuts rivals by as much as £29,000 with its sub-£50,000 pricetag.
Coming in at £49,500, the new Vauxhall VXR8 boasts a new Superflow rear spoiler, Shockwave grille, wing-vents, LED daytime running lights, LED tail lamps and twin exhaust tips that mimic the shape of the front grille.
Pictured in Hazard Yellow, Vauxhall is adamant that ‘the new VXR8 will never blend into the scenery!’
The cabin has undergone a complete transformation, too, with leather upholstery and front sports seats, as well iPod, Bluetooth and USB inputs, coming as standard. A new instrument cluster and centre console also makes an appearance.
Staying true to its predecessors, the new super saloon is powered by a 6.2-litre V8 engine, outputting 425bhp and 405lb-ft of torque. As a result, a 0-62mph sprint is manageable in 4.9 seconds, and the top speed has been limited to 155mph.
The new Vauxhall VXR8 will be available in the UK from March next year.
