About the Vauxhall Meriva

The Vauxhall Meriva is a compact five-seat MPV that competes with the Ford C-MAX.
The versatile supermini-MPV was introduced in the UK in 2002 and will benefit from a major facelift in 2010.
The most striking feature of the new Meriva is the new FlexDoor system. The rear-hinged back doors swing open towards the back of the car instead of the front.
Vauxhall claims this will allow easier access to the back seats, especially when children are being loaded into the Meriva.
The higher roofline and ‘wave’ style in the side panel accentuate the new style of the rear door.
Inside the cabin, the Meriva takes cues from the Insignia and Astra with quality plastics and a comfortable driving position.
The new engine line-up features six turbocharged units and power outputs from 75 to 140bhp.
The new range boasts an average fuel consumption and CO2 reduction of 15 per cent, or 25g/km across the range. Vauxhall will also be launching a greener Ecoflex model.
