About the Fiat Panda
The current Fiat Panda model is a second generation city car. After it was launched in 2003, the city car won European Car of the Year in 2004.
Four wheel drive versions of the Panda are available with the 53bhp 1.1-litre, 59bhp 1.2-litre and 100bhp 1.3-litre petrol engines. There are 1.1-litre, 1.2-litre and 1.3-litre diesel alternatives.
In order to bring CO2 emissions under the 120g/km mark, Fiat released two eco versions of the Panda in 2008. Both the 1.1-litre Active version and the 1.2-litre Dynamic fit into the lower VED tax band C.
The Panda is one of the cheapest city cars to run, falling in insurance group 1 and offering 65.7mpg for the 1.3-litre diesel.
Prices for Fiat Panda models range from £7,700 for the 1.1 Active ECO 5dr to £13,200 for the 1.3 Multijet 4x4 Cross 5dr.
