Special Edition Mazda MX-5 Kendo on sale in March
A special edition Mazda MX-5 roadster will be available to buy in the UK in time for the new ‘11’ registration plates on 1 March.
The Mazda MX-5 Kendo in both coupe and drop-top body styles are based on the standard MX-5, which has been on sale for over 25 years and is the UK’s favourite two-seat sports car.
Both models are based on the SE specification but add extra equipment and interior materials to create a more exclusive and premium car.
A new Stone Leather interior has been fitted complete with stone coloured stitching on the steering wheel, gear knob and handbrake. Special addition floor mats, heated seats, aluminium trim and aluminium pedals complete the interior look.
The coupe adds a premium BOSE audio system, Bluetooth and cruise control over the drop-top.
Outside, both cars are equipped with exclusive 17" alloy wheels, exterior badging and front fog lamps. A choice of black or grey micra paint finish is included in the price.
“Special Edition models of Mazda MX-5 have always been eagerly received by UK consumers and I’m sure the two new Kendo models will trigger a strong wave of fresh interest in our long-running star performer," comments Mark Cameron, Sales Director, Mazda UK.
The soft-top is priced at £19,255 and comes with a 1.8-litre 126ps engine while the roadster version uses a larger 2.0-litre 160ps engine and comes in at £22,320.
