Seat Leon Cupra R is here
Seat’s most powerful car to date, the Leon Cupra R, has finally arrived in UK showrooms.
The Seat Leon Cupra R is powered by a 2.0 litre turbocharged petrol engine – the same powertrain from the current Cupra, but heavily revised.
The 265 PS and 350 Nm of torque this tuned engine produces help the Cupra R to a 0-62mph time of 6.2 seconds and a top speed of 155mph – making it one of the most powerful hot hatches on the market.
Despite all this power, the Spanish outfit’s latest car offers unrivalled frugality. CO2 emissions of 190g/km and a combined fuel economy of 34.9mpg, although not green enough for an Ecomotive badge, are very impressive.
The standard-fit kit has been enhanced to include ESP stability control, TCS traction control and EBA emergency brake assistance.
The Cupra R has also undergone a number of bespoke styling modifications including exclusive R badging, twin central exhaust pipes and 19 inch wheels as standard.
The Seat Leon Cupra R is priced at £25,205 and will be produced in very limited quantities.
