Seat has announced that it will be refreshing its successful VAT-free offer in the New Year, extending the deal across the majority of its sporty portfolio until 31 March 2011.

Combating yesterday’s VAT rise, which saw the consumption tax increase to 20 per cent, Seat has also introduced a new ½ VAT deal – which amounts to 10 per cent off a wide range of models – as well as an array of 0 per cent finance deals.

Seat’s bestselling range, the Ibiza, is included in the New Year celebrations, with 1.4 Chill and 1.4 82bhp petrol models included the VAT-free offer while all other versions – excluding entry level cars – benefit from the new ½ VAT discount.

The Seat Leon S Emocion and all petrol models, excluding entry-level and Cupra R versions, benefit from the VAT free offer whereas all other non-entry level models partake in the ½ VAT scheme, as do the majority of Altea and Exeo models.

“The exceptional success of our VAT offer towards the end of 2010 meant we were understandably keen to continue the momentum into 2011," explains Seat UK Head of Operations, Richard Harrison.
