Renault introduce more sporty Clios
Renault has extended its Clio Gordini range with this week's launch of the 1.6 VVT 128 and the 1.5 dCi 106 models, with deliveries of the sporty hatchbacks starting from September 2011.
The sporty hatchback with the VVT Petrol 128 is capable of accelerating from 0-62mph in just 9.3 seconds and manages a fuel economy of 42.2mpg on the combined cycle.
The alternative dCi diesel 106 can achieve a top speed of 119mpg and a frugal combined fuel economy of 62.8mpg. This model also has a low CO2 emissions rating at just 110g/km, it's also free from road fund licence which costs just £20 in the second year.
Both models feature the unique styling cues that define the Gordini range, including twin white racing stripes on the body, 16" Turini alloy wheels, Gordini badges and twin tailpipe exhausts.
Other exterior features present are electric folding door mirrors, extra tinted side and rear windows, front fog lights and fixed cornering lights. Leather and chrome interior features are also added as trademark for the Gordini range.
Standard equipment on both models includes radio CD, fingertip remote controls, climate control, and cruise control and speed limiter.
Both of the new Gordini models can be fitted with a satellite navigation system, a multi-function TunePoint or electric panoramic sunroof.
Customers also have a choice from three optional metallic paint colours or the standard body colour, Glacier White; with anthracite grey Gordini racing stripes, door mirrors and front bumpers.
Pricing for the new Renaultsport Gordini Clio starts from £14,000 for the 1.6 VVT 128 and £14,950 for the 1.5 dCi 106.
