Peugeot’s 3008 now Euro 5-compliant
Peugeot has updated its 3008 crossover with a cleaner diesel engine and extra equipment as standard.
The new 112 HDi diesel unit replaces the outgoing HDi 110 and brings the car in line with Euro 5 emissions regulations that come into effect from January 2011. CO2 emissions are down 6g/km to 129g/km in the most frugal model, Active, and the firm has also reported notable reductions in NOx and particulate matter.
3008 models in Sport trim benefit from Peugeot Connect USB with Bluetooth, flat folding passenger seat and automatic headlamps and windscreen wipers as standard. Exclusive trim now adds electric folding mirrors, electro-chrome interior mirror and exterior courtesy lights.
Peugeot Connect USB allows MP3 players and iPods to be connected to the sound system and hands-free communication with a compatible mobile phone. This was previously a £205 option on the 3008.
Over 10,000 Peugeot 3008 models have been sold in the UK so far this year and it was named Crossover of the Year and Car of the Year 2010 by What Car? magazine. It is available now from £16,695 on the road.
