Peugeot has launched a new version of the 107 called the Sportium Special Edition.It is based on the standard 107 Urban model and replaces the previous ENVY model.

The special edition, built as a three and five door model, has a 1.0 litre petrol engine connected to a five-speed manual gearbox that delivers 68bhp. With this the city car will accelerate from 0-62mph in 14.2 seconds and reach a top speed of 100mph.

The 107 Sportium Special Edition meets Euro 5 emission standards, as it produces just 103g/km of CO2, while the frugal fuel consumption on the combined cycle is at 62.77mpg.

Equipped in this model is all the standard specification included in the Urban, like remote control central locking, four airbags, height adjustable steering, electric front windows, stereo/CD player, MP3 socket and colour-coded door handles.

The Special Edition adds some more features, including tinted rear windows, 14" alloy wheels, air conditioning and unique “white" door mirror covers and interior detailing. Overall the new model adds £1,050 worth of extra specification for just an additional £350.

The new model is available in five exterior body colours. Customers have a choice of Laser Red, Citrus Yellow, Zircon Grey, Diamond White and Electra Blue.

The Peugeot 107 Sportium Special Edition will go on sale in the UK this June. On-the-road pricing will start at £9,945 for the three-door model and £10,295 for the five-door model.

Alternatively, the car can be acquired for just £189 per month on the Peugeot Just Add Fuel programme.
