Peugeot announces limited edition 207 Sportium
Peugeot has revealed the new 207 Sportium hatchback, which builds on the comprehensive standard equipment of the previous special edition Millesim model.
Available in three- or five-door guise, customers will have the choice of two frugal engines – the 1.4-litre VTi petrol and the 1.6-litre HDi diesel. The former puts out 95bhp while emitting 137g/km of CO2, with the latter outputting 92bhp and 113g/km.
Diesel Sportium models are therefore exempt from VED road tax, and have a combined fuel economy of 65.7mpg.
Six airbags, Electronic Brakeforce Distribution and ABS come as standard across the model range, as does Peugeot connect USB with Bluetooth, manual air conditioning, electric front windows and a CD player.
Petrol Sportiums come with 15-inch alloy wheels, though diesels are fitted with 16-inch wheels as standard. Exterior enhancements, although subtle, include chrome detailing on the front grille and colour-coded body side mouldings.
Prices for three-door Peugeot 207 Sportium models start from £12,595 on the road, with five-door versions starting at £13,195. All models come with a free Nokia 5230 smart phone with satellite navigation and in-car mounting kit.
