Peugeot 3008 HYbrid4 is a world’s first

Peugeot has launched the 3008 HYbrid4 Crossover – the world’s first diesel full hybrid vehicle.
The Peugeot 3008 HYbrid4 features a frugal 2.0-litre 163bhp HDi diesel engine as well as a 37bhp electric motor - ‘the optimal combination for a hybrid vehicle’ according to the French marque.
Diesel hybrid technology delivers high performance and excellent driveability, simplicity of use, silent operation – when in electric only mode – and of course, impressive green credentials.
The hybrid Crossover emits just 99g/km of CO2 and returns 74.4mpg on a combined cycle, all while outputting a maximum 200bhp.
Other fuel saving technologies include a Stop & Start system and an electronically-controlled six-speed manual gearbox, while the ESP and traction control confirm its safety.
Externally, the HYbrid4 has enhanced headlamps, two-tone rear spoiler and chrome badges – including the new Lion badge on its bonnet.
Inside the cabin, the seats are wrapped in Guerande and Tramontane two-tone leather and the steering wheel wears a signature HYbrid4 badge. All of this complements the 7-inch colour display, which the company says ‘provides information on the flow of energy.’
The Peugeot 3008 HYbrid4 will go on sale in Europe in spring of 2011.
