New Clio Renaultsport 200 Raider revealed
Renault has revealed a new limited edition hot hatch based on the Clio Renaultsport 200.
The Clio Renaultsport 200 Raider will only be available in limited numbers - just 50 will be sold in the UK - and adds more equipment to the hot hatch is it based on.
This includes larger, 18" alloy wheels, a new rear spoiler and an F1-inspired front blade. The most notable addition however, is the matt paint (available in grey or red) for the first time on a Renaultsport model.
The new Raider model also comes with a gloss black roof and some technical tweaks such as a lower ride height, stiffer springs and dampers and red Brembo brake callipers.
Inside the upgrades continue with leather-clad sports seats and a plenty of equipment not usually associated with a track-ready hot hatch.
This includes automatic climate control, satellite navigation, Bluetooth and USB connectivity allowing smart phones and MP3 players to be hooked up to the sound system.
The Renaultsport 200 Raider also comes with unique carpet mats and a numbered plate showing which number the car is out of the 50 available.
While extra equipment is added to the Clio Renaultsport 200, the Raider uses the same 200bhp 2.0-litre engine which was improved in 2009 to deliver the same power but with sub-200g/km of CO2 emissions and improved fuel efficiency.
The new Clio Renaultsport 200 Raider, a hot hatch based on the popular Renault Clio supermini, will go on sale this month but prices have not yet been released for the limited edition model.
