Land Rover and Kia scoop towcar awards
The Land Rover Discovery 4 has been awarded the accolade of ‘Best Towcar 2010’ with the Kia Sedona coming out best in its MPV class.
The winners were chosen by a panel of experts from Practical Caravan, The Camping and Caravanning Club and What Car? in their annual towcar awards.
The British-built Land Rover Discovery 4 defeated 40 other cars to receive the award - all of which were hitched up with caravans and put through a series of tests.
Regarding Land Rovers victory, the editor of Practical Caravan, Nigel Donnelly said: "This year the discussion was a short one. It’s the best car in this year’s tests by some margin."
The Kia Sedona was triumphant in its respective class, coming away with the Best MPV award and hailed for its affordability and practicality.
The experts said the Kia offered the best value for money, offering the versatility of seven seats on a budget.
The specific models used in tests cost £41,740 and and £25,095 for the Land Rover Discovery 4 and Kia Sedona MPV respectively.
