Kia Sportage designed for the UK
The new Kia Sportage – due for a summer 2010 release – has been specifically developed for UK, the Korean company has confirmed.
Along with the current Soul, Venga and Sorento ranges, Kia’s revised Sportage SUV has been spending its final development stages on UK roads – the firm’s biggest European market.
The new Sportage was unveiled earlier in the year and promises emissions as low as 147g/km as well as improvement on the combined fuel economy of 40mpg.
In the fifteen years it has spent in the UK, the Kia Sportage has received numerous accolades regarding its overall value for money, something Managing Director Michael Cole believes the company can build upon:
“I’m convinced the new generation [Sportage] will find favour with existing customers and people who are new to the Kia brand."
The new Kia Sportage will be launch on August 1 in the UK, with exact prices yet to be confirmed.
