Kia has bolstered its range of Soul Originals with the addition of the Soul Searcher, which goes on sale from 4 January 2011 in the UK.

The Soul Searcher joins the Burn, Shaker, Tempest and Echo models in the Originals line-up, which Kia describes as ‘a collection of distinctive versions each with their own personality’.

Giving the Searcher its personality is the unique light green metallic exterior finish and cream and brown full leather interior. Chrome interior and exterior detailing and 18-inch alloy wheels add to the premium feel of the urban crossover.

As standard, the Soul Searcher gets dual automatic air conditioning, heated front seats, eight-speaker stereo system, Bluetooth and iPod connectivity, cruise control and steering wheel-mounted audio controls.

The crossover is powered by the 1.6-litre CRDi diesel engine, which can be mated to either a five-speed manual or four-speed automatic gearbox at the customer’s preference.

Occupants are well protected in the Kia Soul Searcher, with stability and traction control, electronic brakeforce distribution and six airbags backing up the five-star Euro NCAP safety rating.

While manual versions of the Kia Soul Searcher start at £16,965 on-the-road, automatic models are priced from £18,025. Prices take into account the 2011 VAT rise.
