Jaguar XJ picks up top award at Detroit Motor Show
The Jaguar XJ executive saloon has been award the 2010 All-Star Award by Automobile Magazine at the North American International Auto Show in Detroit.
Jaguar’s senior management team were on hand to collect the coveted accolade for the XJ, which was up against 270 other cars that were eligible for the title. It follows in the tracks of its stablemate, the XF, which was last year’s winner.
Automobile Magazine says that one of the reasons it chose the Jaguar XJ was for the vital part it has played in reinvigorating the iconic British brand, adding:
“The toughest part about this class is that it’s very hard for any one car to stand out in the crowd, and yet the XJ manages to do just that, in both its design and its dynamics. Both for the aesthete and enthusiast, the all-new Jaguar XJ is an All-Star."
This gong takes the Jaguar XJ’s collection of international awards to well over 20 after it enjoyed a very successful first year on the market in 2010.
