Ford reveals Fiesta technology upgrades
Ford has announced the availability of a new reversing camera as an option on new Fiesta models, as well as a new Sony audio system for Titanium versions.
The new reversing camera is mounted in the rearview mirror and is available on all Fiesta models from Edge to Titanium trim levels. Priced at £475, it also comes with an array of extras such as automatic windscreen wipers, automatic headlamps and rear parking sensors.
‘The most popular [option on the Fiesta] is Bluetooth with USB’ says Ford, which is why it has also included a Sony radio with CD player, USB and Bluetooth as standard on all range-topping Titanium Fiesta models. Around 20 per cent of Fiestas sold this year have been Titanium models.
Ford of Britain market director, Mark Simpson, says: “We know that whilst customers may choose a smaller car than before perhaps for economy reasons, they still want the technology and comfort features to make their Fiesta a premium choice."
The Ford Fiesta supermini – the bestselling car of 2010 thus far with 87,000 units registered - is available now from £9,995.
