Citroen updates Picasso for Paris
Citroen has revealed that from October 2010 the C4 Picasso and Grand Picasso will benefit from engine, styling and equipment upgrades.
New exterior styling elements include Citroen’s new chevron design on the front grille and tailgate, a new front bumper and new headlights and rear clusters. Bestselling VTR+ models benefit from new chrome detailing on the window sills and rear bumper, too.
VTR+ models also get rear parking sensors, USB socket and Bluetooth technology as standard, while Exclusive models feature 17-inch alloy wheels, new upholstery and Citroen e-Touch Emergency & Assistance System.
Citroen’s new e-HDi micro-hybrid technology is also available in this updated range of MPVs, and utilises a second generation Start & Stop system, a reversible alternator, an e-booster function and a refined Euro 5 HDi 110bhp DPFS engine with a six-speed EGS transmission.
Emissions in this micro-hybrid system are between 125 and 132g/km for the Picasso and Grand Picasso, while combined fuel economy is between 58.9 and 57.6mpg respectively.
The new Citroen C4 Picasso and Grand Picasso will be priced from £16,345 and £17,745 and will join the radical Lacoste concept at the Paris Motor Show later this week.
