Citroen backing BT Paralympic World Cup
Citroen is supporting the 2010 BT Paralympic World Cup by providing 16 cars to aid transportation – including the C3 Picasso small MPV, C-Crosser SUV, Grand C4 Picasso large MPV and C5 saloon.
The competition, which will be held in Manchester from 25 – 31 May, has 300 competitors from 31 countries taking part in wheelchair basketball, football 7-a-side, swimming and athletics.
Multiple British medallists David Weir, Ian Jones, Shelley Woods, Eleanor Simmonds and Libby Clegg will be competing with Oscar Pistorius, the so-called ‘Blade Runner’, who is looking to defend his current 100m and 400m titles.
Mark Raven, Citroen’s communication director, commented, “Citroen is honoured to be supporting these extraordinary athletes".
Citroen recently retired the Xsara Picasso MPV but still sells the C3 Picasso small MPV and Grand C4 Picasso in the MPV segment. The larger C8 MPV, C-Crosser crossover SUV and Citroen C5 saloon complete Citroen’s large car range.
