Chevrolet reveals pricing for Camaro
UK prices for the Chevrolet Camaro have been announced as the American muscle car prepares for arrival in British showrooms in early 2012.
The hard-top version will be available from a on the road price of just £34,995, while pricing for the convertible model, with a power-folding roof, starts from £39,995.
Both variants come in left-hand drive only, and meet full European specification, including type-approved lighting and calibrated dials.
All versions of the Camaro sold in the UK will be based on the top specification model. This means equipment included as standard is 20" alloy wheels, performance brakes, full leather upholstery, Bluetooth and rear parking sensors.
Optional features available are premium paint colours, bonnet stripes, a sunroof, polished wheels and for an extra £1,500 an automatic transmission.
Powering the muscle car along is a 6.2 litre V8 petrol engine which boasts 432hp. To help maximise the performance, the suspension is adjusted on the Camaro to make it more suitable for European roads specifically.
Chevrolet announced pricing for the Camaro at the Goodwood Festival of Speed, where the muscle car has made its UK public debut on display as part of the manufacturer’s centenary display. The Camaro was also demonstrated with a drive up the famous Goodwood hill.
