Italian car manufacturer Alfa Romeo is placed amongst the industry’s top ten in a UK Vehicle Ownership Satisfaction Study (VOSS) by J.D. Power and Associates.

The research measures customer satisfaction with the vehicle and dealer service based on the study of 66 attributes grouped in four key measures.

These factors include vehicle appeal, which includes performance, design, comfort and features. The other measures are vehicle quality and reliability, ownership costs and dealer service satisfaction.

After compiling the research, Alfa Romeo scored a Manufacturer Index Rating of 805 out of a maximum 1,000 points, ahead of the industry average which is at 794.

The score placed Alfa in joint tenth position along with Toyota and Volkswagen in the Overall Vehicle Ownership Satisfaction Index.

The Head of Brand for Alfa Romeo UK, Damien Dally, said: ‘This is fantastic news for both Alfa Romeo and our dealer partners as we enter our second century’.

He added: ‘We are encouraged by these results and will strive to continue improving all areas of the customer experience journey’.

Alfa Romeo’s performance in customer satisfaction scores will have been no doubt supported by the addition of the MiTo supermini and Giulietta hatchback in the last couple of years.

The Alfa MiTo has reached sales of over 12,000 units since its launch in early 2009. The Giulietta, which succeeded the 147 range, is the company’s latest five door coupe model. It was named the best performing Small Family car by Euro NCAP in 2010. It also placed second for the European Car of the Year 2011 award.
