Alfa Mito artwork marks new model launch
An Alfa Romeo Mito sporting an exclusive artistic paint job has presented to mark the launch of a new more economic version of the small city car in partnership between the Italian company and Castle Galleries.
The colourful paint work is the creation of renowned artist Louise Dear. She was approached by Alfa Romeo believing her work reflects the Mito’s characteristics of ‘combining classic beauty with unique design’.
The art design is also encouraged by the fact the new Mito model is now free from congestion charge.
The car was presented at an exclusive event at Artica Galleries, Covent Garden attended by a host of VIPs; it will now tour other galleries across the UK.
Brand Communications Manager for Alfa Romeo UK, Naz Jamil, explained: ‘Within this project we worked closely with Castle Galleries and Louise Dear to create a work of art which brings out the key message behind the congestion charge friendly Alfa Mito’.
‘The floral based design and vibrant colour selection conveys the car’s fun and even greener credentials, whilst fully incorporating the young and stylish image of the Alfa Mito.
The new version, the Mito 1.3 JTDM-2 Sprint delivers 85bhp and emits just 95g/km of CO2. Performance-wise the supermini will accelerate from 0-62 mph in 12.9 seconds and reach a top speed of 108mph. The engine also provides a frugal fuel economy of 78.5mpg.
The new Alfa Romeo Mito is now available in UK showrooms. Pricing for this particular model starts from £14,450 in total.
